Itinerary of the 1-day Rainbow Mountain Tour with All Inclusive

This is the itinerary

The tour begins with the visitor being picked up from the door of their hotel in the historic center of Cusco. Pick-up is at 5 a.m. on average.
Then, aboard a modern tourist transport, we will make the almost 2-hour trip to the town of Cusipata in the southeast of Cusco. There, we will stop to enjoy a buffet breakfast at the La Montana restaurant (includes eggs, breads, butter, jam, yogurt, cereals, fruits, juices, coffee and more).
After breakfast, the trip continues along a dirt road until arriving, one hour later, at the rural community of Phulawasipata (at an average altitude of 4,400 meters above sea level). There, we will prepare to take the nearly 3-kilometer walk to the top of Vinicunca (Mountain of 7 Colors).
Optionally, visitors can request a horse, driven by a local muleteer, to take them almost to the top of Vinicunca. This route costs 60 soles and is not included in the tour.
The route to Vinicunca is not that difficult. What makes the hike a little more complicated is the almost 5,000 meters of altitude. An average tourist completes the route in 1 hour and 30 minutes. Almost upon reaching Vinicunca, the last steep section is completed, the most difficult for many visitors. At all times, the tourist will be assisted by his professional guide.
At Vinicunca, tourists will be able to appreciate a unique landscape in the world. The mountain slopes display different colors due to the proliferation of minerals in the soil (formed millions of years ago). You will also have time to take the best photographs, always accompanied by your professional tour guide.
The return route is the same as the outward journey, although this time it is easier as it is mostly downhill. In Phulawasipata you board the tourist transport for the return trip to the village of Cusipata.
In Cusipata, stop to enjoy a delicious buffet lunch at the La Montana restaurant (includes rice, pasta, stews, chicken, fish, vegetables, ceviche, corn, potatoes, salads, desserts, infusions and more).
Finally, you will board the tourist transport again for the return trip to the city of Cusco. The tour ends in a central square or at the door of the tourist’s hotel at approximately 5 pm.

What services are included in the tour?

What should I bring on the tour?

Due to the high altitude, it is recommended to bring light clothing for the hike, such as leggings, pants, a polo shirt, and a windbreaker.
