Itinerary of the tour Mountain of 7 Colors + Red Valley All Inclusive

This is the itinerary

The 7 Colors Mountain + Red Valley 1-day tour begins with the pick-up of the tourist from the door of their hotel in the city of Cusco. With the group already gathered, the tourist will board a modern tourist minivan to begin the almost 2-hour trip to the town of Cusipata (80 kilometers on average).
In the town of Cusipata, stop to enter the tourist restaurant La Montana and enjoy a buffet breakfast that includes bread, coffee, hot infusions, yogurt, cereal, fruit, pancakes, tequeños, eggs, butter, jam and more.
After breakfast we will board the tourist transport again for a final uphill road trip. After 1 hour and 30 minutes we will arrive at the Phulawasipata camp, at an average altitude of 4,800 meters above sea level.
In Phulawasipata we will get ready to begin the final hike to Rainbow Mountain. This hike is 3 kilometers long. An average visitor completes the hike in a little less than 2 hours. Optionally, the visitor can ask for a horse from one of the many locals who offer this service. Horse rental is not included in the tour. It costs approximately 60 soles.
The hike is done in a group, always accompanied by a professional tour guide. Beautiful landscapes of high mountains and snow-capped peaks can be seen everywhere. The route is mostly on flat paths until the last stretch, which is uphill. At the top of Vinicunca, visitors will appreciate one of the most photographed and incredible landscapes in Peru.
The professional guide will accompany the visitor explaining the origins of the mountain’s colours, its fame, problems and more. He will also help tourists to get the best photos of this adventure. In total the visitor will spend about 1 hour on the mountain.
After the adventure at Vinicunca, an alternate route takes about 30 minutes, which leads to the Red Valley. This tourist attraction has a chain of mountain slopes with red soil due to the large amount of minerals in the area, especially red clay. There, visitors can take amazing photos, the closest thing to being on Mars, the red planet.
After visiting the Red Valley, we continue with the return journey to the Phulawasipata camp. This walk is easier as it descends along less strenuous paths.
At the Phulawasipata campsite, the group will board the tourist transport for the return trip to the town of Cusipata. There, we will enter the La Montana restaurant again to enjoy a buffet lunch that includes: hot soups, pasta, rice, stews, lomo saltado, trout ceviche, fried fish, tequeños, eggs, salads, stews, hot infusions, fruits and more.
